Book Your Table with Ease
We accept reservations in advance for parties of 1–6 guests. We ask that guests avoid booking multiple reservations for separate groups. Each reservation allows 90 minutes to dine, and tables are held for 15 minutes past the reserved time. Please note, we do not offer a private dining room or event space.
Catering for Events
Soul Prime offers catering for group gatherings, celebrations, and meetings. Our food supports connection and shared time. Catering is prepared with care and delivered in a way that is simple for hosts. It is a reliable option for meals that feel warm and enjoyable.

Monday: Closed
Tuesday–Friday: 4 PM – 10 PM
Saturday: 12 PM – 10 PM
Sunday: 12 PM – 8 PM
There is street parking available on Halsted, and guests may valet at the stand in front of Summer House Santa Monica across the street. Valet is cash only.

What can I say… I stumbled upon this hidden gem after getting a massage, near by. I was able to walk in and secure a table at 3 pm on a Thursday afternoon. The place is quaint so I wouldn’t chance a walk in during the evening or weekends. I was greeted by very pleasant and friendly faces which is a plus. The owner was also such a sweetheart. She came around and talked to everyone. The vibe and music were on point! I could hardly eat my food for bobbing and singing to the mix of music that was playing.

Let me just start by saying, the short rib tacos were 10/10. They were small but packed with huge flavors. Be prepared to spend a few dollars but it’s worth every penny. The customer service was exceptional. Our waitress checked on us often and provided us with everything we needed. The food was hot and delicious. Give them a try and I promise you’ll be satisfied.

Wow the food blew me away! I'm from Houston the soul food Mecca, but Soul Prime slayed! The service was quick and attentive! The drinks were hitting and the food was hands down the best would food I've ever had from the fried green tomatoes and scampi appetizers to the entrees fried chicken, Mac and cheese, greens, and ribs! They are officially my favorite restaurant! You can order just the mac and cheese And fall in love! They laid Houston down! The service was as professional as a Micheline star restaurant! Hands down Chitown and Soul Prime has my heart!
